Now an original series on Hulu! Catch up on Season 1...Season 2 streaming now! “A twisted modern love story” (Parade), Tell Me Lies is a sexy, thrilling novel about that one person who still haunts you—the other one. The wrong one. The one you couldn’t let go of. The one you’ll never forget. Lucy Albright is far from her Long Island upbringing when she arrives on the campus of her small California college and happy to be hundreds of miles from her mother—whom she’s never forgiven for an act of betrayal in her early teen years. Quickly grasping at her fresh start, Lucy embraces college life and all it has to offer. And then she meets Stephen DeMarco. Charming. Attractive. Complicated. Devastating. Confident and cocksure, Stephen sees something in Lucy that no one else has, and she’s quickly seduced by this vision of herself, and the sense of possibility that his attention brings her. Meanwhile, Stephen is determined to forget an incident buried in his past that, if exposed, could ruin him, and his single-minded drive for success extends to winning, and keeping, Lucy’s heart. Lucy knows there’s something about Stephen that isn’t to be trusted. Stephen knows Lucy can’t tear herself away. And their addicting entanglement will have consequences they never could have imagined. Alternating between Lucy’s and Stephen’s voices, Tell Me Lies follows their connection through college and post-college life in New York City. “Readers will be enraptured” (Booklist) by the “unforgettable beauties in this very sexy story” (Kirkus Review). With the psychological insight and biting wit of Luckiest Girl Alive, and the yearning ambitions and desires of Sweetbitter, this keenly intelligent and supremely resonant novel chronicles the exhilaration and dilemmas of young adulthood and the difficulty of letting go—even when you know you should.

"1.5/5⭐️ I read this bc of the show so tell me why they’re NOTHING ALIKE?! The plot isn’t even there. Characters from the book (Jackie??) aren’t in the show & vice versa. There’s nothing that ties these two together of them than the few small similarities like character names, Baird & a narcissistic/sociopathic dude. It’s unbelievable how gullible/stupid Lucy is to believe Steven for so long. I’ve never hated characters more than these two. Idk how they market the show as being based off this book when they’re nothing alike ie the Macy plot & Lucy’s dad?? I was so angry reading this but kept reading hoping they’d get to the plot eventually and never did. The show aside, this book isn’t great. It’s all about a toxic relationship with the same repetitive scenario over and over again. "
"I wish I would've put this book down and stopped reading a few chapters in. The main characters are awful and it's truly just a high school drama that takes place over too many pages. There is no chronological order and I'm mad I wasted my time on it."

""You know what they say--charm is the ability to make someone think that both of you are quite wonderful."<br/><br/>I came across Tell Me Lies in a bookstore a few months ago & decided to pick it up because Shannon (@givemeallthebooks) had loved it so much. Romance-type books aren't always in my wheelhouse, but I wanted to give this one a shot. I'm pleased to say that I loved it so much. <br/><br/>I want to say upfront that Tell Me Lies is about a toxic relationship. This is not a happy book, but it's relatable as hell. It made me think about high school & college Emily a lot - her (often bad) choices, and how I still turned out okay later on. This book was addicting as hell, and it also made me feel understood and hopeful. I spent so much of this book wanting to shake Lucy, and tell her to get her **** together, but I also felt deeply for her (and the people who wanted to shake me). I loved it, and I can't wait to see what Carola Lovering does next! <br/>"
"This show kept me on my toes… if you have anxiety treat lightly. "
