I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse. August (Auggie) Pullman was born with a facial deformity that prevented him from going to a mainstream school--until now. He's about to start 5th grade at Beecher Prep, and if you've ever been the new kid then you know how hard that can be. The thing is Auggie's just an ordinary kid, with an extraordinary face. But can he convince his new classmates that he's just like them, despite appearances?R. J. Palacio has written a spare, warm, uplifting story that will have readers laughing one minute and wiping away tears the next. With wonderfully realistic family interactions (flawed, but loving), lively school scenes, and short chapters, Wonder is accessible to readers of all levels. From the Hardcover edition.

"My first ever chapter book that got me to love reading! Auggie, who was born with a facial deformity attends school for the very first time. Although he gets bullied, he makes the most out of middle school. He teaches the readers that when given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind. I love this book so much, it has my heart utterly. Read it, even if it’s not for your age, read it. I will never stop recommending this amazing story."
"I absolutely loved this book! I had to read this for an education class I am taking in college but it did not feel like homework at all. This book is aimed at a younger audience but please do not let it stop you from reading it. I think adults need to read this book just as much-if not more than kids. This book dives into what kindness truly means and how you never truly know what someone else is going through. I think we need to be reminded of that-now more than ever. I loved the main character August and watching him grow throughout the book was a delight. The book was funny and relatable. I almost cried at certain parts. I could keep going but I will stop. PLEASE READ THIS BOOK! "
