"🌺 Ahh, this one got to me, and I don’t understand the low IMDB rating for this. Okay, maybe there’s just a very slight slump near the end (??? 🤷‍♀️), and it’s an #atypical #romcom that’s subtle and subdued, but that’s what I found charming about it. 🌈 🏄‍♂️ This has a great ensemble cast, is set in #Honolulu #Hawaii, and has a lovely, laidback and equally soft and subtle soundtrack featuring Fleetwood Mac, The Gap Band, Beck, and others. 💕 Emma Stone is charming as always (she and Bill Murry both), I loved the gentle interaction, conversation (snapback ?? 🤭) and explanation Rachel McAdams gives Gilcrest (Bradley Cooper) as to why she broke up with with him many years ago, and John Krasinski is brilliant with the subtext 😂 I must add that I loved his character’s lovely hand-written, heartfelt letter he gives his wife 💌🥰 (chicks will dig it ;-) 😭 And I, admittedly, bawled my eyes out at the end, lol 😢 — and I fall asleep practically every single night to the Beck song they play at the end 💜 😊 (Heart is a Drum). ~ The End. "

"Proof that just because you band together a bunch of top rated actors doesn't mean that the finished product will be any good. Seemed like a bunch of wasted talent on a terrible script, unfortunately. Nothing in the movie made sense for a while, and everyone's relationship dynamics just felt weird and uncomfortable. Emma Stone was this overly-clingy cringe-fest despite supposedly being an Air Force enlistee (I think). Bradly Cooper was preoccupied with being in a love triangle the entire time. Bill Murray was just weird; borderline creepy, especially at the Christmas Party scene. The character for McAdams current lover (idk his name) was just poorly executed and strange, not even in a funny way. Alec Baldwin was alright... But yeah, I don't recommend it. Surprised I was able to finish actually."

"This movie is a little difficult to follow in the beginning with a lot of plot points happening at once. However, it ends up coming together pretty nicely at the end. It was a movie of simple love and joy. It feels strange and the characters actions need a little suspense of belief to completely get with. But it all leads to a feel-good ending. It was good. 7/10"
