Season of the Witch

"This has a similar premise to another movie I just watched, Black Death with the awesome Sean Bean. Dring the Black Plague, a group of God's knights are tasked with making sure a witch gets to a monastery to be tried for witchcraft and bringing about the plague. This one was less serious in its execution (pun intended), as you would expect in a movie that stars Nicolas Cage and Ron Perlman, both of whom I love. Also, it was fun seeing the cutie-patootie, Robert Sheehan in a role much different from his usual, such as Misfits and The Umbrella Academy. Basically the movie is what you would expect but didn't suffer for it in my opinion. I do love these kinds of movies. Predictable doesn't hurt its chances of being liked by me. What I enjoyed most was that, where the other movie was more historically accurate, this movie was supernatural, which made it less serious. There was a lot of action and there actually WERE good guys (heroes) in this one, where the other movie just made me sad because there was no one to root for by the end. If you like Nic and Ron and Robert, I'd give this one a watch, but don't go into it thinking it's this great thinking piece. It's just a fun action movie."
