Every day for divorced (Wendi McLendon-Covey) is like the movie Groundhog Day – mundane and every day just like the previous. But when new prisoner Casey White (Rossif Sutherland) is brought to her facility, the two develop a secret infatuation. Vicky gives Casey special attention, believing he’s the only man to see her the way she wants to be seen. But when Casey’s inevitable transfer to a lengthy prison sentence approaches, Vicky decides to take desperate action. Risking everything, Vicky manages to break Casey out of jail and takes him on the run, eluding authorities on an eleven-day dash for freedom. For Vicky, even the probable tragedy ahead of them is worth the chance to live life fully once more.

"This really happened (sure with some fictionalized dramatization thrown in). Wendi McLendon-Covey looks so much like the real Vicky White! Found one glitch where Vicky was speaking for a stretch, but her mouth was noticeably not moving (sure it was not meant to be narration...)--not a deal-breaker though in my finding it a satisfying watch. Wish the ending had been different, but, well, it was the result of her bad choices, right? ("Bad Romance," a fitting title.) This is one of Lifetime's "Truly Unbelievable Movies, A Ripped From The Headlines Event.""

"Great movie @carolyn1 thanks for the recommendation. I did find some factual discrepancies between this film and other information I’ve read and seen about this story but overall it was really good! Movies always seem to take a lot of liberty with the facts. Wendy McLendon-Covey is amazing and does such a good job portraying Vikki. She also looks a lot like her so it’s even more believable. I didn’t like that this movie made it seem like she planned the escape all on her own and it was a surprise to him. There is a lot of evidence that he knew and maybe even convinced her to help him so they could “be together”. Other than that, it was very well done!"
