Y2K

" This one takes us back to 1999 when everyone was freaking out about what would happen at midnight when it was time to click over to 2000. There is a lot of nostalgia here if you are of a certain age. You get to see dial up internet, video rentals, burning cd’s etc.… They even revisit some of the music from that time. However, that is all there is here. The story is unoriginal. Nerds go to a party; the machines go crazy at midnight and they have to stop them. The acting isn’t very good, there are not enough laughs for a comedy and not enough scares for a horror, but it’s listed as both. Worst of all it’s boring. Not a whole lot happens that is interesting. I’m not entirely sure who this movie is for. If you are young none of the nostalgia stuff you will get. Since all the other elements were done poorly there is no reason to watch. If you are older the only reason to watch is for the nostalgia but that only last the first 15 minutes or so then after that you are left with a movie that just isn’t very good. "2 stars. I was so excited for this movie but it was a huge let down. The Y2K concept was interesting and had so much potential but the writing is terrible and filled with cringey dialogue unfunny jokes. I was expecting more comedy and action rather than melodramatic monologues. Such a disappointment and waste of 1.5 hours. Seriously, what was the point of this movie? "

"Definitely one of the funnest movie I’ve seen this year. Such a goofy story with some really funny moments that had me wanting to watch more. However that was my biggest issue with this movie. I felt like the movie ended a bit too quickly and they could’ve done a bit more."
