Hey all! I've been into Tony Hillerman's mysteries lately and am looking for similar novels. Some things I particularly like are that Chee is smart, but isn't a super detective because he gets distracted easily or is too friendly with potential suspects. It's very human. I also like that the cultural background and local environment are prominently featured and essential to the books.
