Disney Plus Premier Access Exclusive

Cruella

Cruella, featuring Emma Stone, is set in London during the punk rock revolution. It follows a young grifter named Estella (Emma Stone) and a pair of young thieves as they set off on making a life for themselves on the London streets. Throughout the journey, Estella catches the eye of the Baroness (Emma Thompson), which causes Estella to become revenge-bent Cruella. The live-action movie will be available for Disney+ members with Premier Access the same day it hits theaters on May 28. Disney+ members without Premium Access will have to wait until the film is available for all subscribers.

New Disney Plus Shows – Originals

Star Wars: The Bad Batch

Good news, Star Wars fans! A sequel to and spinoff of The Clone Wars will be gracing our screens in May as a Disney Plus Original Series. Star Wars: The Bad Batch follows the experimental, but elite, clones of Bad Batch in the aftermath of the Clone War. Each member of the Bad Batch possesses a singular, exceptional skill that makes them genetically different from each other. Bad Batch brings back several characters that fans of the series will remember. This Disney Plus series will debut on May the 4th (Star Wars Day) with a special 70-minute episode followed by new episodes every Friday.

New Disney Plus Releases — Marvel

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

It’s another big month for Marvel fans! Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surferbecame the first Fox/Marvel title on the service last year, but Disney Plus removed it shortly after. On May 7, it is finally coming back to stream on Disney Plus. This film is the sequel to the 2005 Fantastic Four adaption, starring Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, and Michael Chiklis as Marvel’s First Family. In this film, The Silver Surfer comes to Earth from Galactus to be confronted by the Fantastic Four (and Doctor Doom). The film is the second live-action Marvel film to receive a PG rating, so it is a perfect fit for the family-friendly streaming service Disney Plus.

X-Men: The Last Stand

Another Marvel movie to binge watch in May is X-Men: The Last Stand. This film is the third installment in the X-Men series and stars Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, Anna Paquin, Rebecca Romijn, and Kelsey Grammar. The discovery of a cure for their mutations gives them a hard choice between giving up their powers and becoming human or retaining their abilities but remaining isolated. War looms in the background as the followers of Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) and those of Magneto (Ian McKellen) advocate for two different sides. Be sure to check out this movie when released on Disney Plus on May 14.

New Disney Plus Movies to Stream

Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken

It’s been thirty years since this film came out, so the addition to Disney Plus will be extra special for those who grew up loving Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken. The American drama film set in the Great Depression follows Sonora (Gabrielle Anwar) as she tries to land a spot riding horses off of high dives. Al Carver (Michael Schoeffling) helps Sonora reach her goal, and she is lucky enough to do so when rider Marie (Kathleen York) is injured. She is on the brink of stardom when a twist of fate threatens her dream. This real story based on events in Carver’s life will be available to stream on Disney Plus beginning May 7.
