Shows to Watch This Summer 2022

Find yourself stuck on what show to watch next, especially in the summer with more time on your hands? Well don’t worry because here are four suggestions of TV shows you can start while enjoying some downtime this summer!

These shows are provided on different streaming channels as well as different genres. Below will be a little description of the show and which channel you can watch it on, so you can find which show you can enjoy your summer nights watching with a big bowl of popcorn!

First Kill

Not only is it difficult to figure out and find love when you’re a teenager but it is even more difficult when you fall in love with someone you are not supposed to. That is the case for Juliette Fairmont (Sarah Catherine Hook) and Calliope “Cal” Burns (Imani Lewis). Juliette is a vampire trying to find her first kill to take a place within her legendary vampire family, while Calliope is a vampire hunter, trying to find her first kill of a vampire. First Kill has aired on June 10th on Netflix, so be sure to watch the two teens try and figure out if love is more important than their want for a place in their families.

Only Murders in the Building

With season 2 coming to Hulu on June 28th and having new shows every Tuesday until August 28th, the viewers will be able to have answers to the questions from last season. Season 2 will explain how Mabel (Selena Gomez), Charles (Steve Martin), and Oliver (Martin Short) are the prime suspects for the murder of Bunny (Jane Houdyshell). Going into more detail of Bunny’s murder and more about the people and history of Arconia will also be shown. Be sure to watch Only Murders in the Building to figure out who really killed Bunny!

Ms. Marvel

Ms. Marvel is a mini series based on the Marvel Comics. Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) is a 16 year old girl who is obsessed with with the Avengers, especially Captain Marvel. One day she gains her own powers and has to figure out everything that comes with these powers. Watch the series of Ms. Marvel on Disney Plus that first aired on June 8th to see how Kamala is able live her dream of being a regular teenage girl with superpowers.

The Boys

The Boys season 3 aired on June 3rd on Prime Video but the series has more episodes coming out until July. This season will consist of Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), Hughie Campbell (Jack Quaid), and Homelander (Antony Starr) living their lives with superpowers but instead of using them for good, they use them to cause problems. This season will also introduce a new superhero called Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles). Watch this action series to see how not every person who has superpowers use them to help people or the community.
