"Meyer and his daughter Hazel have been everything to her since they came into her life three years ago. So, all joking aside, the stakes are especially high when it's not only her career, but both of those relationships on the line. A former stand-up star himself, Meyer has been vital to the trajectory of her career since he began managing her ... since he became her closest and most treasured friend, in the process. This friendship is the only reason why, when the biggest opportunity of Farley's career includes thrusting him back into the spotlight to stir up publicity, he agrees -- in spite of his grumpiness, his protectiveness over Hazel, and his disdain for public attention. It doesn't take long for their act to bring all those other funny feelings out into the open, and, like most matters of the heart, it quickly begins to feel like anything but a joke" --

"Dual POV and available on KU. I really liked this one! Friends to lovers, age gap, disability representation, fake dating and found family. The story is very cute and I liked the comedy aspect of the story. There is no 3rd act breakup! Loved that. The main conflict in the story was barely a conflict. I could have used the smallest amount more of tension and conflict. Love the love between the main characters! Good read, would recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶🌶/5. "
"this book was just so lovely and comforting. I just feel like my heart is so warm and happy! Meyer and Farley have such a supportive, healthy, loving relationship which j appreciated reading so much! I am, again, such a sucker for a single dad trope and I also loved that the book centred around stand up comedy! that isn’t something i’ve really read about before and I thought it was so refreshing!"
"I am in love with this book; it just feels so real and wholesome. The inclusion of comedy and ASL is so impressive and the characters are so lovable. The whole family dynamic that Meyer, Farley, and Hazel create for themselves is amazing and all the love there is so precious. Not to mention, there are some pretty great tropes included like friends to lovers, age gap, single dad, etc. I feel like this is a must read. "

"This book is such a delightful romantic comedy! I felt like I could see it playing out as a movie in my head throughout the book. The narrators were fantastic and when the female narrator used her Myers voice…damn (in a very good way). This was funny, well paced (except for a bit of the ending) and just so well rounded. It’s a must read or a must listen! 4.75⭐️, 2.5🌶"
