It starts off just like the movie, almost scene for scene until Abu is NOT able to steal the lamp, then goes off on a “what if” adventure of how things could have turned out. Excellent novel, but a bit too gory for my taste. This may be based on a Disney movie, but don’t go in expecting Disney content! (It’s clean, just dark.) All in all, I can say it’s a great book."

Liz Braswell does a great job at extending the original world building of the current Aladdin Lore. Aladdin’s backstory and the parallels between all the characters become more apparent than you may have previously realized! A must read for Aladdin fans!"
