"This was the first book I’ve read by this author and I’m hooked and would definitely read more. The whole time you are guessing “who did it” and “what happened”. Just when you think you have it all figured out there’s a new plot twist. It was so good I couldn’t put it down and had it finished a day and a half, faster but work happens. The characters are well developed and I like the dual story lines. The one told by the mother offers a lot of insight into the characters and helps develop them throughout the book instead of spending the first have devoted to just that. You constantly learn new tidbits about Sandra and Jason along with their dark pasts. Plus the daughter Ree is flat out adorable. "
