This book is facts driven, and the author throws several side stories in the mix that really brighten the mood. Most chapters had me laughing at one point from the smart comments each soldier made and the pranks and things they pulled. It made the more serious events feel less heavy. Ambrose is a phenomenal writer. I don’t think his style is for me sadly."

Said that Ambrose would come to every lecture without notes and just teach/lecture for the entire time and keep his students attention."
