"I almost didn't read this. I was afraid it would be too emotional. I'm glad I did. Alan Gratz alternated narrators between Brandon telling his story of 9-11 and Reshmina, 19 years later in Afghanistan. This does a great job letting the reader distance themselves from Brandon's experience just enough. Reshmina's story is just as important. It opens our eyes to some American biases and poses some difficult questions. I definitely recommend this book to both the targeted young adult readers."
