"Haunting, immersive, and seething with dark magic."―Alexis HendersonOprah Daily Top 25 Fantasy Book of 2022!In the 1920s, a lush, decadent gothic tale unfolds as a young woman slips into a glamorous world filled with illicit magic, tantalizing romance, and murder. On Crow Island, people whisper that real magic lurks just below the surface. But magic doesn’t interest Annie Mason. Not after it stole her future. She’s on the island only to settle her late father’s estate and, hopefully, reconnect with her long-absent best friend, Beatrice, who fled their dreary lives for a more glamorous one. Yet Crow Island is brimming with temptation, and the most mesmerizing may be her enigmatic new neighbor. Mysterious and alluring, Emmeline Delacroix is a figure shadowed by rumors of witchcraft. Soon, Annie is drawn into a glittering, haunted world. A world where the boundaries of wickedness are tested, and the cost of illicit magic might be death. To those who are bright and young; to those who are wild and wicked; welcome to Crow Island. Praise for Wild and Wicked Things: “A deep, sensuous exploration of the bonds between three very different, complex women that readers won't soon forget." —Gwenda Bond, New York Times bestselling author "Brimming with romance and gilded with danger, Wild and Wicked Things is a heady, lyrical gem of a book."—Hannah Whitten, New York Times bestselling author

"I was super excited to pickup this book.
Witches, magic, great Gatsby satires all up my alley. I read into the first 10 chapters and ended up in a reading slump for months. Determined to get through the storyline I pickup the audio book. I just struggled. Super super slow burn here, waaay to long of a read for the plot.
80% in and I wanted to just give up. This reminded me of the movie Practical Magic with Mashup of Great Gatsby and a lining of Downton Abby. A fathers inheritance, A love trangle, a husband brought back from the dead, a book of spells, A possession. The idea I think was great but the execution missed the mark for me.
It was painfully long, and the characters were boring; I didn't care for them. Even at Audio speed 1.50x, moved at a snails pace.
Disappointed, had high expectations with this book. Beautiful cover."
"this book kickstarted my love of reading again. however, its marketed and sold as a romance, and while technically it is, its a very very slow burn. they don't actually kiss until toward the end. there's a lot of plot, a lot of filler. id say this is more towards fantasy than anything. it was still interesting, but i found myself struggling to get through all the filler from time to time. so, great if you love incredibly slow sapphic love that's also heavy on the fantasy, but not so much if you're truly looking for more romance.
