"A worthy sequel to The Henna Artist, Secret Keeper focuses on Malik, now 20 who is apprenticed to a facilities manager to learn the construction industry back in Jaipur. Old rivalries and grudges, as well as relationships, continue into this new story. Looking forward to final book in this trilogy!"

"The Secret Keeper of Jaipur by Alka Joshi. This is the sequel to The Henna Artist, which I loved. This story was a great continuation. It follows the story of Malik, Laksmi’s young helper, who has grown up and she has arranged an internship at the Jaipur palace for him. He has just met Nimmi whom he has fallen for before he leaves town. He gets swept up into a world where money and power have incredible influence when the new theater that the palace has commissioned collapses. I really liked it!"
"2.5 stars. I really enjoyed The Henna Artist but not sure there was enough story left for a sequel. She also kept over-explaining elements from the first book (over and over, even on the last pages!) which was annoying and unnecessary. The plot of this book was kind of boring and I was skimming to get to the end."
