"Available on KU. I really liked this book! It’s a pretty slow burn which is not usually my favourite but I couldn’t put this one down. The structure felt sort of like The Love Hypothesis with not wanting to communicate feelings but the back stories of the characters made the reasoning feel more realistic. Liked the depth of the characters and them having to deal with different family dynamics. Some themes also reminded my a little of By a Thread. Overall it was a great read! The one thing that bugged me was the sex talk in the work environment. I know both parties were into it but it felt a little to much like sexual harassment for me to think it was cute flirting. Overall I really enjoyed this book! Some spice but nothing to crazy. 2-2.5/5 🌶 level. "

"I was a little apprehensive going into this because based on the plot alone, I didn’t expect this to be something I would enjoy as I’m not a fan of rich people or hugely of the enemies to lovers trope but it really shows that good writing can make about any trope good!
In this book we follow Tali who is temporarily taking over as Hayes assistant for a few weeks while the current assistant is away however despite not necessarily getting along at first, the two grow close and fall for one another.
I wouldn’t necessarily call this enemies to lovers as I would not say the characters in the beginning are enemies, they just don’t exactly like each other which changes pretty quickly. This more so falls under being grumpy-sunshine for me as there is this moment when all of the sudden you see Hayes start to go sort of soft for Tali and care for her.
I loved these characters and I adored them together. They had amazing banter but also just the love they had for one another was so sweet.
There was miscommunication and while I’m not too fond of that trope, it worked well here and with the characters it made a lot of sense.
Overall I really loved this book and I highly recommend it!"
