"The philosophical exploration of choice coupled with commentary on grief and loss makes this series highly intriguing. The characters coming into themselves as teenagers transitioning closer to adulthood is well done. Even the jealousy and uncertainty of the relationships is well delivered, except for the kissing, which is so wooden and unnecessary, it comes off as obligatory. It knocks off a whole star for cheapening the developing intimacy. The depth created by simple story and complex topics is beautiful. I loved hearing the duel points of view. In the first book Ky was interesting. Now he is special. "
