Upon discovering she and her disabled husband Daniel are expecting, she needs fast cash. Her obsession with cleanliness sprouts the concept that her skills can be put to use in a unique way. She takes a stab at the booming door-to-door vacuum sales business of 1988. All is going well until she arrives at the steps of a house that will change her forever. The steps of an evil that resurrects the ghastly memories she so desperately tried to wash away. Nothing will prepare you for the nastiness, disorder, and sickening horror brought forth by... "This book is definitely not for everyone. This book is gnarly and in your face. Quick read and easy to follow. Funny thing is, the author of actually a really nice dude that shows massive appreciation to his readers. I'll be reading more of his work."

"Maybe this just wasn’t my thing. Unrealistic. I won’t nitpick the small things, but the volume of women’s bodies in that house and barn would have absolutely drawn the attention of the authorities. It would have been all over the news, and absolutely no one would have allowed their wife outside the house much less selling vacuums door-to-door. It did have one part that made me gag because of a deep rooted aversion to mouth fluids. "

This books clings to you in the worst ways. This books isn't one of those that has a slow creep in and is there before you realize. This book storms in and tells you all that it is. This made me want to peel my skin off to relieve the way it made my skin crawl. This book snatched me up and held me in a chokehold until the conclusion. I loved how the book made me almost battle myself to be able to stay along for the journey of the character. If you can get past the grime you will unearth some unique characters. The twist at the end and side characters left me wanting a book to get to know them as well. This truly was a horror. "
"I am pretty desensitized to horror, and while this didn’t scare me, I would consider it a damn good read. Most books with captives, the captives have a purpose. The kidnapper keeps them alive, or needs them alive- this dude has no purpose but to kill. Because of this the beatings are brutal and relentless because it doesn’t really matter if they live or not to him. It was a good nasty body horror book and it was a quick read! Definitely not for the squeamish. TW (with non descriptive spoilers) anatomy gore, SA, loss of a child, torture, violence specifically targeted at women, drugging, very descriptive gore "
