"I really enjoyed this book but it wasn’t as good as the first. Sometimes the Aunties were just too much and their conversations got long and became hard to follow. I understand this should be part of the “charm” of the book and Aunties, but it was just overdone. Overall, I think the plot was excellent and I liked how it really tied in with the first book. "

"So disappointed with this sequel. The first one grew on me but you can tell the author was forced to write this as a follow up. The author once again prefaces this book saying she’s walking a “fine line” on offensive stereotypes and reality but the aunties and Madelynn were especially ridiculous. They kept repeating the same uninspired foolish acts and I felt even more secondhand embarrassment reading their antics play out. The author also seemed to intentionally drag out certain scenes to make the book longer and loses the reader in the process. After a certain point the main character was so dumb in her thought process I began actively rooting against her. Also why did the aunties need to by high for half of the book? "

"I LOVED Dial A for Aunties and was so excited for the sequel, but this book had none of the charm or humor of the first one. The Aunties became caricatures, and Meddy was just winy and pathetic. And then, if it is possible, the ending/resolution made it even worse. I am trying to find something I liked about it, but right now I'm just mad I wasted my time on it."
"Honestly, I think it got a <i> bit </i> too ridiculous, but not enough to the point where I couldn't laugh my ass off. <br/><br/>The characters are still as loveable as the first time through (save for Annie). Nathan and Meddy still make me squeal every time they come on screen. And while the ending was a little bit too wrapped up for my taste, I really liked it and think it was the only good way to wrap up the plot line. <br/><br/>I do think this should only be a duology, though, which I think is the plan. This type of book can be ruined easily by doing too much, as you can see in some of the bad reviews. It was a fun time, but I think it's best to wrap it up. <br/><br/>Overall, the family dynamics are great as well as the characters. It may be a bit wacky, but it's super fun."
