My first Christina Lauren book! After hearing all the hype for YEARS, I’ve been wanting to read one of their books for ages and I’m so happy I was finally forced to read this one. It was so fun!! I read this book after finishing [b:The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue|50623864|The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue|V.E. Schwab|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1584633432l/50623864._SY75_.jpg|46895612] (a book that’s super heavy) and this was so light and hilarious that it was the perfect follow-up. I sat down to read this one night and ended up binging the entire thing in a day.

First of all, this book is legitimately HILARIOUS and I was actually laughing out loud reading it. I feel like it’s rare a book *literally* makes me laugh out loud, but this one did dozens of times. Hazel is such a great character and watching her relationship was Josh made my heart so happy.

Speaking of Josh (aka Jimin), I am absolutely 100% in love with him and I thought my BTS-loving ass was going to pass out reading this book.

I will say that I thought this was a tiny bit too long? After like, the seventh failed blind double date I started questioning how long this was going to drag on before they realize they were in love one each other and put us all out of our misery. Also did not really care for the twist at the end?? It’s a trope that I absolutely hate and this book was already so good without it. Why throw in something like that at the end for no reason? It still has a great epilogue, so my feelings about it are kind of jumbled. But to me, it felt like that was thrown in as an afterthought to add unnecessary conflict.

This was still a super fun book that was entertaining to read and I loved that it gave me some genuine laughs. I’m excited to keep the Christina Lauren train going and read more books by this dynamic duo.
