panicked_shrieking shared a tip "It's an emotionally taxing series, most of the characters are horrible people. It's pretty gritty, the people you root for make decisions that get them killed. The people that are awful get away with ****. It's heavy and it sucks that the series is never going to be finished."

It was no surprise to me when the story became insanely popular once it was picked up by HBO. Sometimes he goes on a bit too long describing the feasts in every hall across Westeros, but it's still such a wonderful plot with amazing characters that I could reread for the rest of my life"
