Getting into U.A. High School was difficult enough, but it was only the beginning of Midoriya’s long road toward becoming a superhero. The new students all have amazing powers, and although Midoriya has inherited All Might’s abilities, he can barely control them. What’s more, the first-year students are told they will have to compete just to avoid being expelled! -- VIZ Media

"4/5. This volume is better than the first one. Looking back, I would have given the first volume a 3 star. My only complaint is that I didn’t care for where the manga ended. It splits one arc into two different volumes. It does contain one of my favorite arcs: Bakugo v. Deku. Bakugo’s development fascinates me entirely, and he can’t handle being in school with Deku. Ida is much more personable in the manga than the anime, and I am here for it!"
