Joe Hill
Joe Hill's critically acclaimed, New York Times bestselling, Bram Stoker Award-winning debut chiller, Heart-Shaped Box, heralded the arrival of new royalty onto the dark fantasy scene. With Horns, he polishes his well-deserved crown. A twisted, terrifying new novel of psychological and supernatural suspense, Horns is a devilishly original triumph for the Ray Bradbury Fellowship recipient whose story collection, 20th Century Ghosts, was also honored with a Bram Stoker Award—and whose emotionally powerful and macabre work has been praised by the New York Times as, "wild, mesmerizing, perversely witty…a Valentine from hell."

"Funny, unique, and satisfying. Way more accurate depictions of the faults of human nature than it has any right to be. Was expecting a little more pulp trash, but was pleasantly surprised to have a thoughtful, and well thought out story. Not many stories can make me change how I feel about a character so many times. "
"Well written. Refreshing new story. "

"First off joe hill isn't Stephen King Jr. Although we can't help but associate him with his father we should do so because
1) he purposefully called himself joe hill (using his middle name hillstrom) so he wouldn't be next to his father on the shelves or be compared to him in the early years (or by naive book buyers)
2) I truly think he deserves to be looked at as his own author and had surpassed his father in many senses.

Are there similarities?? Of course! But what author these days (or in the past for that matter) DOESN'T take material or end up with a similar plot or character structure or "mood" as another author?

I consider my tastes pretty varied but also intellectually backed and quite well informed. Joe hill is one of my favorite authors of this age and I urge you to give him a try."
