Now a NETFLIX feature film starring Haley Lu Richardson! Timing is everything in this romantic novel about family connections, second chances, and first loves. Set over a twenty-four-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver find that true love can be found in unexpected places. Today should be one of the worst days of Hadley Sullivan's life. Having just missed her flight, she's stuck at the airport and late to her father's wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon-to-be stepmother Hadley's never even met. Then she happens upon the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's sitting in her row.... A long night on the plane passes in the blink of an eye, and Hadley and Oliver lose track of each other in the airport chaos upon arrival. Can fate intervene to bring them together once more?

"This book was full of major cuteness and I loved every second of it!"

"I want to know what Oliver’s calculation is for the statistical probability of randomly watching a trailer for a movie you’ve never heard of on Netflix, then later that night having the book it’s based on (which you had no idea existed) recommended to you - I bet the percentage is quite small.
Regardless, I thought my coming across the book was ironic and quite funny, so naturally I had to read it. My only complaint is that it was told from an omniscient pov of sorts, which threw me off a bit (I don’t typically read books where the main character is referred to in such a way as “Hadley sees so and so in their red jacket”, so it threw me off for the first few chapters) but that’s definitely a matter of preference.
Overall, the story was cute, although short, and the characters were flawed yet redeemable. Definitely recommend this as a fluffy read with messages on family and forgiveness as well.
I’ll watch the film adaptation and we shall see if it lives up to this novel ;)
