Her love life, way off.Darcy Phillips:• Can give you the solution to any of your relationship woes—for a fee.• Uses her power for good. Most of the time.• Really cannot stand Alexander Brougham.• Has maybe not the best judgement when it comes to her best friend, Brooke...who is in love with someone else.• Does not appreciate being blackmailed. However, when Brougham catches her in the act of collecting letters from locker 89—out of which she’s been running her questionably legal, anonymous relationship advice service—that’s exactly what happens. If word gets out that she’s behind the locker, some things she's not proud of will come to light, and there’s a good chance Brooke will never speak to her again.Okay, so all she has to do is help an entitled, bratty, (annoyingly hot) guy win over a girl who’s already fallen for him once? What could go wrong?

"This book bored me to death, just my opinion "

"I always thought the blurb for this book was great, but for some reason or other the cover or title or something was a bit of a turn-off to me, and I definitely judge books by their covers. After reading the book, though, my apathetic first impression was completely unwarranted because this book was so great. The characters were very fleshed out, the conversations felt super authentic, and the MC was the most sympathetic person-who-I'd-consider-a-villian-from-the-other-character's-perspective ever! The relationship advice portion was actually borderline educational content for me, which I can't say about other books I've read with the premise of the MC being some type of love guru. So great. The main character is bi, her sister is trans, and her best friend is a lesbian, and they're heavily involved in their school's Queer and Questioning Club. At different points in the novel, characters explain their experiences of biphobia, do what seems to be an accurate and accepting explanation of the asexual and aro spectrums, and (very, very briefly) mention the importance of using correct pronouns and gender-neutral language."
