"This book is really fun! It made me laugh a lot and although I did feel a little second hand embarrassment sometimes (I always will with books that take place in high school), it was still really engaging!! It’s inappropriate at times (very uncensored aka not suitable for young children) but that’s what makes it so funny. The main character is your average awkward kid who wants to be cool to impress a girl, but it’s got cool twists and traits that make it interesting!! It isn’t boring AT ALL! I highly recommend if you’re looking for a laugh, and if brash commentary and silly humor are what do it for you! (There’s also a musical for this book I’m pretty sure! It’s got some catchy and fun songs if you like that stuff!) "

"A masterpiece for sure. I originally picked up the book because I enjoyed a few songs from the musical that I had come across on YouTube. The book was very relatable and funny. After reading it I learned that the ending of the musical was drastically different from the book which made me sad. I still am hoping for a movie adaptation but I know I'll always prefer the book."
