"I really enjoy this series, though i have a few gripes I have is sometimes I wish there was more time between books. In all these books the timeline gets a bit weird. We are just over a year of Eve and Roarke being married. And there are times this is confusing because in this book or the previous, we are back to almost a year of marriage (where previously they had their anniversary).

When Eve gets a big case her desk is cleared of all others. I'd like to see (and since I just started 17 this might happen now) where she takes on more than one at a time. One more sideline, but still manages to work a bit while doing that frustrated waiting thing she has to do somethings for the current case. Maybe even trust Peabody to work the lesser one to some degree.

I do enjoy the series. For real. I love the relationship with Eve and Roarke. They fight and they make up. There are no huge misunderstandings with leaves one of them leaving the other for some stupid reason. They might go to their corners for a bit, but they never leave it at that. This series would be the one I'd point to other books to show them how a real relationship should work. No silly break ups over stupid stuff. They tough it out.

I enjoy the process Eve goes through to solve a case. Sometimes I can figure it out, other times I can't see what Eve sees. Enjoyable reads all around so far."
