"I Cant Put This Series Down On To The Next One"

"This seires is not for me. I have been on the fence about it from the start. The writing and world are easy to dive into but the plot and relationships meander too much in my opinion. For instance the books are not very long but Briggs wrote an extensive recap in with the main storyline. Also the romance. I am all about agnst and anti-instant love but this took it to a whole new level, to the point where I thought pages were missing.<br/><br/>Yes I am an adventous reader. No I do not only read romance. Though when it's supplied I do look forward to it. I think my biggest problem was that I didn't feel Mercy's emotions. She cares for people of course but when they are in danger or missing I can't feel the hurt in her words or actions. Nothing that makes me believe Mercy would never be the same if she lost friends.<br/><br/>There was a multitude of characters that I enjoyed. And I was better able to distinguish them this time. Still we are learning more about the world and rules which is always a plus. The cover tricked me though. Honestly I like book with or without spice but I was a bit disappointed by the sexy picture on the cover and it turned out to be anything but. I'm just surprised because there were so many dominating males and hardly any females in the mix. And with all that you get just a couple of kiss-your-mother-on-the-mouth pecks. <br/><br/>Again the recaps took up what felt like a quarter of the book. It was so much info you could probably skip the first one. The romance did not progress and little did the character arcs. This is an instants of where to much is left out on the table for me to want to continue. While I like the story I can't help but want more than I am given. <br/><br/>'He had been warning me about pushing buttons for as long as I can remember. I don't know why. I'm not stupid. I'm always careful when I torment werewolves.'"

"Not gonna lie, I wish Stefan had his own book. Like, just his own little spin-off book. It could be a standalone or duet, and I'd be happy"

"Briggs' writing is so good! This isn't a creepy book by any means, but when a character needs to feel like they're crawling out of the page to invade your personal space, she achieves that easily. I can't buy the rest of the series fast enough."
