"4.75/5 This was so fun! The Soulmate Equation was my favourite Christina Lauren book before this but I think this one is tied for first now! All of the characters were so entertaining and lovable and I was obsessed with Fizzy. The premise of the story was so fun with the dating show and I really liked the pacing of the storyline. If you are a fan of Christina Lauren I would highly recommend this one!! 1.5/5 spice level. I’d say for a Christina Lauren book this has more spice than most of the ones I’ve read. "
"A fun continuation of The Soulmate Equation. Fizzy stars in a reality dating show to find her soulmate. As with all Christina Lauren books, it’s hilarious, heartwarming, and happy ending all wrapped in one. I loved Fizzy in The Soulmate Equation and was so excited to read about her story playing out. I think I would have like a little more Jess and River in the book because I just loved them so much in The Soulmate Equation as well. Definitely do read if you’re a romance/romcom lover. 4/5 💝"
"AH christina lauren gets me everytime!! I love fizzy - her spunkiness and her relatability! i’m a sucker for a single dad and connor was just *chefs kiss* - their friends to lovers arc was so beautiful and the way they burned for each other while shooting a romance reality show with other men? whew hot! I think ali hazel wood said that this book was h*rny and boy was she right HAHA - I love CL and I loved this book!! (also loved getting to see jess, juno and river!)"
"Please..... please tell me this will be a movie one day along with The Unhoneymooners. Fizzy our mc is bubbly and fun just like her name suggests. I admired how comfortable she was with her body and that made her sexy. Also Fizzy was in love with life so all this added up for a very exciting read. Conner on the other hand was a bit like a blushing bride haha. I loved the contrast. Which honestly with Fizzy everyone else was grey in comparison.<br/><br/>The plot sounded interesting but not very plausible for a romance. Later I was shocked to find how very wrong I was. I shall endeavor not to doubt these two authors again. The Love Experiment is a spin-off from The Soulmate Equation but can be read by itself or first. Omg, I laughed so much. Not only was Fizzy a crazy fun mess to be around but when she was paired up with her best friend it was a downright ruckus. The banter was unhinged and I really got a cozy feeling from Christine Lauren and their real-life friendship.<br/><br/>The only thing I didn’t care for is honesty a personal fault. I didn't like how close Conner was with his ex but I do know some people can get to that point. For me though I can't fathom it. That was pretty much my only complaint. I very much enjoyed Conner too and the fact that he did something there was no excuse for and the authors didn’t try to play it off like he was in the right. I mention this because so many writers do it and it grates on my nerves. And only with the men for some reason. Characters can make mistakes and not have an out. It makes them human. Conner did a bad thing that he cannot cutesy his way out of that's just a simple fact and I admired it.<br/><br/>I'm not usually one for romance with kids involved. A little harsh I know but authors usually use them all in the same manner. Kind of like being in need of another parent because theirs are absent. This was not the case here and it was refreshing. Again the plot at first didn’t seem plausible but it was an unexpected treat. I loved how the men were selected like book tropes. O-M-G and the steamy bits. Yum. I will say these two buddy authors have some serious chemistry and I'm willing to read everything they published.<br/><br/><br/><br/>Quotes:<br/><br/>'Tall, British, and Dimpled. Never trust a cliche.'<br/><br/>"Mom said boys are dumb until high school"<br/>"Wow, that's generous.""
