In the beginning, there was darkness. Before he met Callie, before he became the Bargainer, there was Desmond Flynn, the bastard son of a scribe. A boy born to a weak mother, cursed with little magic, and destined to marry a slave. But fate had something else in mind. Till darkness dies. From the barren caves of Arestys to the palace of Somnia to the streets of earth, this is how Desmond Flynn, a fairy who began with nothing, became the Emperor of Evening Stars. ***This is a roughly 200 page novella told from Desmond Flynn's perspective.***

"If only I can write out the sound my heart makes when it squeals. If. Only. <br/><br/><i><b> This may contain spoilers for you if you have <u>not read the first two books.</u> Consider yourself warned. </b></i><br/><br/>This book is in the perspective of Desmond Flynn. The Bargainer. The Night King. King of Chaos. Lord of Secrets. Good ole Des. <br/><i>"Back in the Otherworld, I’m ferocious, but honorable. <br/>Here, I’m despicable and lawless. <br/>Here, I’m the Bargainer."</i><br/><br/>You learn about his mom, some of her life before Des, their life as poor "magic-less" faes living in caves, and how he meets his good ole pops. You walk along side him through his confusion, frustration, anger and grief as a kid. <br/><i>"I imagine this is how a star feels as it dies, like everything it loves and everything it is, is pressing inwards and crushing the life out of it."</i><br/><br/>You also learn about <b>his perspective</b> on meeting Callie. His destined <i><u>soulmate</i></u>"

"Definitely worth it! If you’ve already read the first two books of The Bargainer Series then you have to read this. It gives so much rich background into Des while providing his POV. It really opens you up to how he thinks and why he does things bc of his past! It’s also endearing how he thinks of Callie. Definitely give this a read before Dark Harmony!"
