"This collection has some of the best illustration in it consistently. I saw "Soichi's Pet" as part of the animated Junji Ito Collection before reading it. Oddly, the way I read Ito's work which has now been all but Tombs and Vanishing Classroom for his horror manga, I hadn't encountered Soichi at all. There are three Soichi stories in Smashed. I still find Shiver to be the most memorable collection but this was very close to Shiver in my opinion. "Library Vision" is my favorite from this collection though non are weak. Highly recommended."
