"I would give it 2.5 or 3 stars out of 5. It’s amazing how this author took something that should be really intense and scary and made it incredibly boring. It’s very repetitive. There’s very little dialogue. The characters love to go on meandering tangents sharing a recollection that is barely related to the story. Oh, and the book tried very hard to be poetic or metaphorical. There were often sudden metaphors out of nowhere that didn’t really make sense. I couldn’t wait to finish this book so I could read something else. "
