"I very much loved the conclusion of this duology. I love the characters and I wish Faizal spent more time on the relationships. I would’ve suffered through a filler middle book if I could just have more time with everyone. I think the Arab folklore, vocabulary, and culture was fascinating and I loved the diversity of the people. I like the romantic tension between Nasir and Zafira. I cannot wait to see what Faizal writes next. "
"Whereas I liked the first book but ultimately only thought it was okay, I absolutely loved this one. I’m now obsessed with the zumra. I especially loved Zafira and Nasir’s romance, although the slow-burn was agonizing. The whole book was emotional, but brilliant. The end was very satisfying, even if I kinda wish we’d gotten an extra chapter or two. ❤️"
"Immersive and beautifully written. "
