Running to your ex is never ideal. Running into your ex who is now dating your nemesis is a literal nightmare That's how I found myself in a sheer panic, reaching for the closest guy at the bar and kissing him. And to my delight, he was easily the most attractive man I've ever seen. The only problem is, when I tried to walk away after thanking him for his help, he stopped me with three life-changing words... "You owe me." That's how I found myself, a college girl, in a fake relationship with a professional hockey player ten years older than me. At first it was easy. He helped me with my internship. I helped keep his ex away from him. We were becoming fast friends. It wasn't until he started staying the night at my dorm did the rules of our arrangement become complicated. Now my feelings are involved and even though I kissed the right man at the right time, I'm worried he's just waiting for the clock to run out.

"3.25/5 ⭐️ available on KU and dual pov. This book didn’t really hold my attention but it was good. Fake dating and age gap. I love the Cane brothers books but this series isn’t as good to me for some reason. Also, everyone talking about Silas’ piercings like they are some casual thing threw me off. The story was super predictable which made the end hard to get through but over all it was good. It was a slow burn but once the spice came in there was a lot of it 3/5 spice level. "

I thought the last book about Hasley was spicy but this one was much spicier. I liked even though it was spicy it wasn’t completely raunchy or degrading.
The characters I really enjoyed. Ollie was a hoot and I actually caught myself laughing out loud at parts of the book. Poor Silas. I felt so bad about what happened to him with Sarah and was definitely rooting for him throughout the book.
Quinn did a great job at having you develop feelings for the characters and the sexual tension between Ollie and Silas. I wanted something lighthearted and easy to read on vacation and this didn’t disappoint. I think I’ll have to read the last two books in the Agitators series and I’m not even the biggest of hockey fans!"
"loved this book. Meghan Quinn writes really funny ****. The fumble on explaining how they met and what it became was comical af. The beginning til halfway really set the scene and the TEASING Ollie did to Silas was just really hot tbh. The scene where she just admits her feelings for him and says she wants to be more than fake dating, and takes control in the sauna, yeah, honestly best part of the book.

anyways, 4 stars bc a lot of the spicy scenes were kinda comical to me which takes me out of the moment and thinkin about his piercing on his peen made me uncomfy. lots of usage of “oh my god you’re so big” and it just gets old to me. just say it once and MOVE ON don’t make it a huge deal and the need for her to say it every time. also the fact she told him 3+ times she didn’t write the defamatory piece of that article and he didn’t believe her like sheeessssshhh painful. could’ve avoided the whole argument and break up if he just listened to her and worked it out.

anyways love Meghan Quinn, will read anything she writes."
