"I couldn't put it down. A way to give a bit of humanity to the phantom it really reminded me of the lyric from "Down once more/Track down this murder" "A face whiched earned a mother's fear and loathing, a mask my first unfeeling scrap of clothing. Pity comes too late turn around and face your fate." It is also so interesting hearing the story from Erik (The Phantom's) perspective "
"If you're a fan of Phantom of the Opera and always wanted to know more about the Phantom and his backstory, this is the book for you. Tragic, but beautifully written. It's quite a hefty book (or at least the version I have), but I was so engrossed by the story I couldn't put it down."
