"An engaging and essential handbook for anyone interested in gaining insight into an oft-misunderstood community." — Library Journal This book is for anyone who wants to learn about asexuality, and for Ace people themselves, to validate their experiences. 2023 YALSA Great Graphic Novel for Teens 2023 ALA Rainbow Booklist Selection 2022 Chicago Public Library Best BookAsexuality is often called The Invisible Orientation. You don’t learn about it in school, you don’t hear “ace” on television. So, it’s kinda hard to be ace in a society so steeped in sex that no one knows you exist. Too many young people grow up believing that their lack of sexual desire means they are broken – so writer Molly Muldoon and cartoonist Will Hernandez, both in the ace community, are here to shed light on society’s misconceptions of asexuality and what being ace is really like. This book is for anyone who wants to learn about asexuality, and for Ace people themselves, to validate their experiences. Asexuality is a real identity and it’s time the world recognizes it. Here’s to being invisible no more!

"(I received a free digital copy of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This in no way affects my opinions of the book.)

Wow! A Quick & Easy Guide to Asexuality was so perfect and met every expectation. It is a graphic novel that covers all the basics of asexuality, focusing on topics like defining asexuality, the ace spectrum, aromanticism, and how this sexuality affects aces’ daily lives.

I am not a part of the asexual community, but I do consider myself to be very knowledgeable on the topic; this book does a wonderful job of defining asexuality in a way that readers of any age will be able to understand. As it does state in the beginning of the book, it is very much a “beginners guide” and doesn’t go super into detail about any of the topics it covers. But, it does include a list of resources at the end regarding asexuality for those wanting to do further research, which is nice.

I am so happy that this book exists. I will absolutely be recommending this to anyone and everyone that I can. If you are looking to educate yourself on the ace community but aren’t sure where to start, this is definitely the book for you!"
"This is such a great source of information for anyone who wants to learn about asexuality! I’ve already read ‘A Quick and Easy Guide to Queer & Trans Identities’ and ‘A Quick and Easy Guide to They/Them Pronouns’ which are a part of the same series. I loved both of those books and this one is no different!

It is very helpful to have a short book that you can hand to friends and family to help explain your identity. I did this with my mom and the other two ‘Quick and Easy Guides’ and it made talking about my queerness a whole lot simpler! I plan to show her this book to help gently educate her as well.

I loved that this book enforced the fact that Asexuals aren’t broken! There is nothing to “fix” and all Ace identities are valid. It’s also amazing that they provide further resources to help those questioning or wanting to learn more about Asexuality in general. Overall, 5/5 stars! Thank you for the opportunity to read this book before its publication!

(E-Arc provided by Oni Press via NetGalley)"
