It's something that made me realize that humanity will forever suffer because we never learn from our history. Silence/appeasement will always lead to suffering

Why do we never learn from history? It seems history continues to repeat itself and the very one's that can change humanities certain fate has not and will not. Stephen Hawking and Elon musk have stated within 50 - 75 year's humanity will be on the verge of extinction and we must begin looking for other places ( planets) to live.

Something Neil DeGrasse Tyson once said stuck with me: whatever earth's problems, rather than escaping them, it would most likely be easier to try to fix them.

@matandaudrey I absolutely agree. I was told that earth is treating mankind like a virus/ pathogen as in our planet is heating up like a person with a fever trying to kill the infection. So earth is sick and people are the infection.

Her book called in order to live was one of the most heart wrenching but eye opening books I've ever read. I don't align with her on many of her political views, but I have endless respect and admiration for her. She has a YouTube channel as well if you'd like to learn more about her story

I’ve added you’re wrong about but haven’t had a chance to listen to it. What do you love about it?

Oh my gosh, she was the author/public speaker that opened me to reading biographies of all kinds. I’m especially interested in defectors from socialist and/or communist counties. Absolutely eye-opening. Love the podcasters you mentioned too.
