Topic: Phantom Thread
I need more perspectives on this movie because the 12 or 13 comments that it has do not assuage my confusion. There is a word limit so to simplify acting, cinematography, costumes all that gets 10/10. Now the story? Maybe a 2? 3.5 if I'm feeling generous, also the pacing left something to be desired. Back to story I assumed it was about an exacting older man desiring & wooing a younger woman into his life, which it is but it isn't. It's a romance but it also kinda isn't... Did I miss an element?

Ashleigh Searles My perspective on this show is , a storyboard. It’s a storyboard to me because it’s like a book, all the stages are leading up to another… never leaves you questioning. It may need a little bit more detail and more attraction with the public. But to me it’s like a story board

Jinxy H It seemed as if the older man knew what he wanted from the beginning. Then he saw potential in Alma. Not just from an artistic standpoint, but from a deep personal standpoint. He had a feeling what kind of person she could be. She meets his expectations, she slows him down, which seemed to be what he was looking for. She was unyielding, but so was he.
