This is very interesting data. Give it a read. https://deadline.com/2024/02/disney-craig-erwich-linear-vs-streaming-stats-the-rookie-omitb-abbott-elementary-golden-bachelor-1235821376/#recipient_hashed=fe40fff4ecc0f3bd4772aa5b4d222424ce3741664c977b5e2a2a12be0f36ca39&recipient_salt=e4e897159e66c7ff0f991476c4d54c1d0d86c71b6abb905dae2c7c0f1549fd52&utm_medium=email&utm_source=exacttarget&utm_campaign=Deadline_BreakingNews&utm_content=498736_02-10-2024&utm_term=15153079 #streaming #disneyplus

Brandon Reed That IS all very interesting. Some of it would be predictable to someone like me as a consumer, but not to those extents. For instance, I know that new viewers find older shows on streaming, but I wouldn't have suspected most of the hours spent streaming The Rookie to be that recent.

Russ Hoyt @MarlinBrando I wonder how this information impacts the habitat that Netflix has for canceling shows? I recognize that they don’t have a broadcast/cable station, but maybe they should or maybe they should license some of their shows?

Brandon Reed I know for a fact that they license their children's show Gabby's Dollhouse to Nickelodeon. This data analysis being presented at a major trade show might influence them to expand that practice. Or, the fact that people are discovering network shows on streaming years later might make them rethink their practice of cancelling shows before they've had a chance to gain traction.
