Just finished my 7th re-watch of Avatar, The Last Airbender. I am a massive fan of the show and have been since it originally aired back in 2005. Anyway, in preparation for the live action series, I decided to take a walk down memory lane and was instantly 10yrs old again ! Had to remind myself that I didn't have to eagerly await the next episode show hold up so well from production value to writing . Aside from a questionable character trait Sokka has in the beginning. He's comes around tho

Brandon Reed I'd say that Sokka's sexist attitudes at the beginning of the series are a strength of the show. Heroes should have flaws to overcome, especially in a continuous narrative, and the viewer sees Sokka overcome his and become a better leader, as a result. We also see Aang become less avoidant, Katara and Toph become more respectful of people with different viewpoints (including each other), and Zuko become less of a murderer, lol.

Jojo Yeah, in many ways, that shows about Redemption and growing from your past mistakes. All around, I was just learning how to be a better person, although I would say that the continuation in the comics kind of does away with all that. I do like the inner conflict that Zuko now has. As a result, Anng now has to deal with a heavy burden. But yeah I agree with you it shows that people can change and be redeemed 😄😄 I was just shocked at how blatant the sexism was 😄😄 I really recommend the Comics as well. I know that show so well that when I went to read the comics I literally heard the characters voices coming from the speech bubbles 🗨 😄😄
