What is the demand for these historical product based movies that keeps getting them greenlit? In recent years we’ve had movies or shows about BlackBerry, Tetris, Air Jordans and Cheetos. Now there is a movie about inventing pop-tarts. Who is this for? https://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/1591941-hugh-grant-is-playing-tony-the-tiger-in-jerry-seinfelds-unfrosted-the-pop-tart-story

Road Master I don't get it either. I watched a YouTube documentary about how Bionicle saved Lego. It was surprisingly interesting. But YouTube was EXACTLY the right place for it. I would not have made an effort to watch a movie about it.

Brandon Reed The title of this article is an Andy Warhol acid trip of a sentence.

Brandon Reed I think there must be a large enough number of people who are passionate about the products themselves to make the film projects profitable. I'd say that's strange, but I host pages for make-believe movies and Asian cartoons 🤣

Ryan My theory is that marketing people think they’re the most interesting people on Earth. So they are willing to green light movies about marketing. Most of the projects go straight to streaming, so they don’t have to perform at the box office.

Road Master Or they're extra long, extravagant advertisements.

Shay I love documentaries but I couldn’t care less about Tony The Tiger, Jordan’s, or Cheetos. I have no idea who the audience for this is supposed to be. It should be me, but nope.
