Topic: Screenplay

We have launched a viewing club in Sci Fi Scene. I am curious if this group has people interested in participating in something similar? If you are, I would appreciate comments sharing ideas for topics/themes to add some fun to our viewing.

Science Coach I think we should focus on some lesser known less popular or older works. The current MCU/DCU discussions seem beat to death. For example, I just put The Shadow on my watch list.

Road Master I like @sciencecoach idea. Could also do themes. Space travel, robots, etc... But could also do deeper themes. More conceptual ideas. How would space travel change humanity? What does our fascinating with robotics ask and say about humanity? As I'm typing all this, I realize it's very much like many of the discussions I've had. So maybe I'm biased here.

Road Master @Russ_MN Sorry. I got hung up on the sci-fi part of your question and apparently misread the rest. I thought you were still talking about sci-fi stuff.

Russ Hoyt I appreciate the input. I will add these Sci Fi ideas to the list I am keeping.

Road Master Similar to my 1st, misguided comment. Discussions about how superheroes OR supervillains would effect humanity. How the existence of aliens and Norse and Greek gods will effect humanity.

lyzander cross Here are some ideas. most creative origin story, best animated series, oddest power set, most grim setting, in greatest need of a reboot, best humor, saddest, the hero we need most IRL, coolest anti hero, best villain movie, movie where the villain was right, most visually stunning.

Russ Hoyt @lyzander_cross those are some great suggestions! Thank you!

lyzander cross I thought of some more most tragic backstory, best female role model, most interesting super team, best special effects, best music score.

lyzander cross This one's a bit out there but you know that badly described movie trend... Basically that, a week where instead of suggesting movies directly we come up with a funny vague description of them and then once the deadline is reached the person with the most likes announces what movie they were describing and that's the one we watch.
