Emi Shinohara, best known as the original voice of Makoto Kino/Sailor Jupiter in Sailor Moon, has passed away. She debuted in the industry in 1986 as B-Ko (Project A-Ko) before taking other well-known roles, such as that of Kaho Mizuki (Cardcaptor Sakura), Eri Ochiai (Perfect Blue), and Kushina Uzumaki (Naruto). She was only 61 years of age, and is survived by a husband and son. May she rest in piece.

Jojo Aw man, it seems many of the people in the anime and Western animation sphere are becoming one with the universe. That's just the way it is though. We live and we die what we do in between those fixed points is all up to us.❤️

Brandon Reed Yeah, my immediate thought when I saw this news, following the news of James Earl Jones' passing, was, "Dang, it's a bad week for the voice acting profession."
