What do you do when you’ve accidentally spoiled a show for yourself? I went and looked up a show I’m watching on YouTube, which is a dang stupid move because I got one character’s fate spoiled for me by a thumbnail and a video title. So what do you do in these situations? Do you just give up? Try to forget it? Keep going even though the experience is now soured by future knowledge?

Lana B I would keep going if you think you can still enjoy the show’s other characters and plot lines. If after a couple of shows you’re not interested since you have that knowledge, then just forget about it. You haven’t invested that much time in it.

Brandon Reed I just keep going. My memory is too good to forget it, but spoilers don't totally ruin something good. Watching it all come together can still be enjoyable, especially if all the elements are good. My wife spoiled A Beautiful Mind years before the first time I watched it. Then, years later, she wanted me to watch it. I told her, "Sure, even though you spoiled it for me." She said, "When did I do that?" "When we were dating." "That was years ago! There's no way you remember that!" I then recounted every major plot point from the film, including the ending, as she had described them to me several years prior. I then asked her, "What, you think I don't listen to you?" Lol

Road Master I agree with everybody else here. If you're enjoying it, keep going. Somebody spoiled the end of M. Night Shyamalan's The Village before I watched it. I would have preferred the shock of the reveal during the movie. But I still really enjoyed the movie anyway.

Adri Lynne I personally gaslight myself into thinking I didn’t see it or I read it wrong
