Universal has announced that the Christopher Nolan’s next movie will be an adaptation of The Odyssey. To do a literal adaptation of this story (and not a metaphorical one, transposed to a different setting, like O Brother Where Art Thou) seems like an impossible task. However, I’ve learned not to doubt Nolan. The cast list is impressive to say the least. Thoughts? https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/christopher-nolan-adapting-the-odyssey-1236093332/

Brandon Reed I absolutely think it can be done.

Ryan I just wonder how the subject matter will work with his insistence on doing as much of the movie practically as possible.

Brandon Reed A lot of that depends on what he means by "as much... as possible."

Daniel Ramos I don't doubt Nolan, but damn what a heavy burden to carry. The Odyssey is probably my favorite story of all time, and I was content with the 2 part OG movie. If Nolan nails this, it will not only be my favorite movie. It will solidify Nolan as the GOAT, and whoever is involved will also be remembered throughout the ages. My hype is all the way up for this one!!
