"I felt the book was kinda slow, but the plot twist close to the end was very clever. The characters weren't very relatable or easy to connect to, which made it hard for me to become invested in the book. Overall, if you like a book for the twist, this is for you, but other than that, I wouldn't recommend. #plottwist"
"I understand the hype. I completely get it. This book took my mind on a wild ride, and I reached a point where I literally didn’t know who to root for. It starts off a little slow, but once it picks up, it’s so hard to put it down. By the end of it, I came to the conclusion everyone is crazy. "
"I can’t even begin to put into words the thoughts or feelings I am having right now but I’m really going to try; however, Alex M. broke my brain. This was an extremely enticing read, I was glued, every time I thought I had an inkling of an idea something else happened that completely changed my theory. THE PLOT TWIST OF THE CENTURY! My guy came to wreck, and plunder and destroy and that’s exactly what he did with this story. In the best way possible. I really enjoy books that have other literary works tied to them, and therefore this story being closely tied to the Greek tragedy Alcestis fascinated me from the get go, and Alex M. absolutely did it beautifully. I feel like the end left us with a little bit of wonder, which sometimes is refreshing but also infuriating. But perhaps this is not the last time we’ll read about Alicia and/or Theo."
