"This show is mellow and relaxing as well as insightful and interesting. Chefs from many walks of life share their dishes and culture along with their own life stories and experiences. The honesty of the chefs leads to many poignant and inspiring moments. It is also beautifully shot. I wasn't captivated by the first episode, but the second one (the Japanese episode) got me hooked. My one criticism is that this show is heavily focused on East Asia, I would've liked to see West Asia represented as well! "
