List of good ‘starter’ anime

Basically anime I would recommend to someone that has never watched anime before. Since the Japanese culture is very different from western culture, which certainly shows up in anime, I feel these shows are either easily digested or gives a good overview of anime culture. Most should have English dubs as well. Going to try and mix up genres as best I can.
