Four talented alien musicians are kidnapped by a record producer who disguises them as humans. Shep, a space pilot in love with bass player Stella, follows them to Earth. Reprogrammed to forget their real identities and renamed The Crescendolls, the group quickly becomes a huge success playing soulless corporate pop. At a concert, Shep manages to free all the musicians except Stella, and the band sets out to rediscover who they really are — and to rescue Stella.

"If you're a Daft Punk fan, this is required watching. It's the sister film to the album Discovery. The movie plays through each song, in order, and tells us a beautiful story of electro-disco loving aliens. The story is completely without words, but has a strong narrative due to the art direction and the lyrics of the songs themselves. The animation is beautiful and I find it makes the music even better. You can find a low quality upload for free on youtube. "

"I LOVE this movie so very much!!! I'm a huge fan of Daft Punk, and "Discovery" is my number one favorite album from them!!! I love how every song from the album Discovery is in this movie!!! "Interstella 5555" essentially takes all the original music videos from the album and puts them together into one big continuous movie. To me, all the songs are pure magic, and the animations help tell a powerful and compelling story!!! It was so cool to see the remastered version of this movie, but I will admit that the original holds a special place in my heart ❤️!!! I can not express fully how wonderful this movie is!!! If you enjoy music videos and anime styled animation, then this is definitely a must watch for you - especially if you're a fan of Daft Punk!!! "
